Directions You will need:Prep time: 5 minutesCook time: 20 minutesMakes 5 (1-cup) servings. 1 package Zatarain's southern stroganoff pasta dinner mix.1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey.2 1/4 cups milk.1 cup water.Directions:1. Brown meat in large (12 inch) skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.2. Stir in milk, water and pasta dinner mix. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Sauce will thicken upon standing. Stir before serving.Variations:Beef & vegetable stroganoff: stir 1 cup frozen peas or peas with pearl onions into skillet after pasta mixture comes to boil in step 2. Continue as directed.Steak & mushroom stroganoff: use 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips, in place of the ground beef. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add steak; cook and stir about 4 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove steak from skillet. Continue as directed. Stir 1 can (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained, into skillet after pasta mixture comes to boil in step 2. Return steak to skillet after pasta is cooked.
